Singer Peggy Hayama who had played & voiced the Lady in Green → Mother of Ultra in Ultraman Taro dies at 83. She was suffering from pneumonia and today at 11:55 AM she was announced dead.

Peggy Hayama's Talent Agency had told the press that she had working until now but few days ago she was admitted to the hospital because of the Pneumonia. Her last Blog post was on March 30 in which she had announced about her appearance in Takarazuka's Event. According to her post she was very happy to appear in the event.
She made her singing debut in 1952 through King Records with the Single "Domino / Hi no Seppun". Her Hit Songs are "Chugakusei Jidai", "Doremi no Uta", "Nangokutosa o Ato ni shite". She had sung over 2000 songs until now. She had also appeared in Kouhaku Utagassen. Her first appearance in Kouhaku was from the 5th Kohaku with her song "Gekkou no Chapel". She had also been the MC for 17th Kouhaku (1966).
She is the first woman to be the President of Japanese Singer Association.
She married to the actor Jun Negami in 1965 who later appeared in Return of Ultraman to play MAT's Captain Ryu Ibuki. Jun Negami had passed away in 2005. Both Peggy Hayama & Jun Negami were together called as Babysitter Husband-Wife.
Even if she had appeared in Ultraman Taro, 43 years ago and had appeared & voiced only once she is still loved by her fans from those days. The Social Networks are trending with her name. There are people who have claimed that she was the light of hope.
